Midwest BankCentre Hires 20 Year Veteran as SVP, Treasury Management Services of KC Office

Saint Louis-based bank Midwest BankCentre has hired an industry veteran as senior vice president of treasury management services for the Kansas City office.

Stephanie Makalous joins Midwest BankCentre’s Kansas City business production office with more than 20 years of experience in the industry, according to a release.

 

Makalous most recently was the managing director of Kansas City treasury services at CrossFirst Bank. During her time there, CrossFirst transitioned from a privately held $500 million institution to a $7.7 billion multi-state public Bank.

She also served as VP of treasury services at Great Western Bank for more than three years and VP of treasury services at Bankers Trust for four years, according to her LinkedIn page.

In October 2023, Midwest BankCentre first expanded into the Kansas City market and since then the office has been growing its team. The Kanas City office is led by market president Trey Cunningham, who was appointed the role in November 2023.

“With her extensive experience in banking and deep understanding of the local market, Stephanie will play a key role in advancing our mission to support the growth and prosperity of businesses throughout Kansas City,” Cunningham said in the release. “Her expertise will be instrumental in furthering Midwest BankCentre’s impact in the community.”
