Lockton Names Nick Serrault COO of U.S. Operations

Kansas City-based Lockton has promoted company veteran Nick Serrault as chief operating officer for its U.S. operations.

Serrault brings nearly 20 years of experience, including nearly a decade of experience at Lockton, to his new COO role. Most recently, he served as COO of Lockton Dunning, the firm’s People Solutions business in Texas and Louisiana. In that role, he oversaw consistent double-digit growth and long-term scalability for the business.

Serrault will report to Lockton U.S. president Tim Ryan, according to a release. Ryan was appointed to his role at the company in August 2024.

“Nick is a trusted leader with a strong track record of success and I’m excited to partner with him,” Ryan said in the release. “He’s helped one of our largest and most innovative People Solutions operations thrive—and now he’ll bring that same focus and impact at a national level.”

As part of his new role, Serrault will remain based in Texas, according to the release.

“Working with the Lockton Dunning team has been one of the highlights of my career,” Serrault said in the release. “We’re building something strong—a business with momentum, a culture of collaboration, and a strategy that works. I’m excited to carry that same mindset to our broader U.S. operations and work alongside the U.S. leadership team.”

In Serrault’s place, Lockton has promoted Mark Kuonen to succeed him. Kuonen will be based in Dallas and oversee operations and business development for the region, including Dallas, Plano, Houston, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, New Orleans, and Baton Rouge.

Last week, Lockton announced it has appointed Lisa Hawker to the role of COO of its People Solutions business.
