The Lenexa City Council has approved the final plans for Oak IQ Investments’ 529-unit apartment project between Woodsonia Drive and Highway K-7.

Final plans for The Reserve at Copper Creek depict a multifamily residential development constructed in phases. The first phase includes the development of 289 apartment units across eight buildings, located at the northwest corner of 89th Street and Woodsonia Drive. The first phase will be constructed in three separate districts of the development.

The site is in between Woodsonia Drive to the east and Highway K-7 to the west.

The overall project will include 529 apartments across 15 buildings with 962 parking spaces on 27.07 acres.

The first phase of construction is set on 14.41 acres. The final plan for phase one includes three two-story 12-unit buildings along Woodsonia Drive, to the scale and appearance of a large
single-family home. The center of the site has two- and three-story buildings. The third district, along K-7, has two, four-story apartment buildings and is designated at the highest density zoning.

The first phase of the development will also include a clubhouse and pool.

Oak is partnering with Prairie Village-based NSPJ Architects and Olathe-based Phelps Engineering Inc. for The Reserve at Copper Creek project.
