Acendas Acquires South Dakota Subsidiary

One of Ingram’s Top 100 Private Companies, Acendas Travel, has acquired Sioux Falls-based Travel Partners as a subsidiary.  As the press release states, this deal is effective immediately.  Terms of the deal state that Travel Partners, a vacation travel agency, will retain its name and remain a stand-alone agency, however, current Acendas Travel staff will assume various operations jobs.  The previous manager of the agency, Mary Jo Nelson, will continue to be manager and existing staff will keep their jobs.

“We are excited to have the Travel Partners team come under the Acendas Travel umbrella and look forward to continuing to serve the Sioux Falls market,” Acendas Travel President Brent Blake said. “We have a focus on growth, but only if it is a good fit. Travel Partners is not only a good fit, it is a great fit.”

Acendas Travel was founded in Kansas City in 1982 and now heralds a co-headquarters in Minneapolis.
