Westlake Ace Hardware has announced it plans to acquire two new locations in Kansas.
Westlake has agreed to acquire Olson’s Ace Hardware and its two Kansas locations at 1318 West 8th St. in Coffeyville and 200 North 18th St. in Parsons. The acquisition will be completed on November 2, according to a release.
The two stores will be rebranded as Westlake Ace Hardware and remodeled later in 2026.
“For nearly 70 years, Olson’s Ace has delivered the highest levels of product knowledge and service to their customers in Coffeyville and Parsons,” president and CEO of Ace Retail Holdings, Joe Jeffries, said in the release. “It is an honor to continue that tradition. We are also eager to meet our new friends, neighbors, and customers and show them how we live the Ace Helpful Promise every day through world-class service, helpful advice, and the leading products they need to get their projects done right.”
Founded in 1956 in Parsons, Charlie and Rosie Olson established Olson’s Ace Hardware. The founders sold the retailer to Ben Ryan and Beth Ryan in 2007. In 2019, Olson’s Ace added a second location in Coffeyville.
Westlake has ensured a smooth transition for the two companies. The majority of current employees will be retained, according to the release.
Westlake Ace Hardware has been building its portfolio of stores in Kansas this year. The company announced it will acquire Augusta Ace Home Center in Augusta. Then, in February, it announced it had signed an agreement to build a new store in the Monticello Shopping Center in Shawnee. Ace Retail Holdings, the parent company of Westlake Ace Hardware, also relocated its store support center from Lenexa to an Overland Park location in May.
