Westlake Ace Hardware announced it will acquire Augusta Ace Home Center in Augusta, Kansas.
The acquisition will be completed on March 17, according to a Monday release.
Augusta Ace Home Center, located at 316 West 7th Avenue, will be rebranded as Westlake Ace Hardware upon completion of the deal. The store will retain current management and personnel.
Family-owned by Pat and Diane Herian since 2002, the couple purchased the store after Pat’s 16-year career in the retail hardware business.
“It’s an honor to continue the tradition of excellence Pat and Diane Herian have created with Augusta Ace Home Center,” president and CEO of Ace Retail Holdings, Joe Jeffries, said in the release. “We are eager to show our new friends, neighbors, and customers in Augusta and the surrounding area how we live the Ace Helpful Promise every day.”
Westlake Ace Hardware announced it will be relocating its Olathe store and plans to open its new location in March. Westlake most recently acquired Austin-based Breed & Co. in a deal that added three locations to the hardware retailer’s roster.
