Visit KC Names New President and CEO

Jason Fulvi is the new President and CEO of Visit KC, the board of directors announced today.  Fulvi previously worked at VisitPITTSBURGH for 16 years, most recently as the executive vice president.  He will start his role with Visit KC on September 12.

“We achieved our goal of conducting a thorough, nationwide search to find the right person to lead Visit KC forward in promoting our great city and region,” said Rojas. “We were drawn to Mr. Fulvi because of his extensive background in hospitality, widespread industry knowledge and proven ability to lead and empower. I am excited and inspired by his selection.” Rojas, along with Kevin Pistilli and the recruitment firm Fenaroli and Associates, led the search for the new president.

It’s an impressive career for Fulvi considering he got his start in hospitality as a dishwasher in a hotel who worked his way up to his current position. “I’ve never forgotten where I started and carry a strong, humble work ethic that matches well with Kansas City,” he said. “My wife, who is also a hospitality professional, and I were so impressed with how welcoming and inclusive everyone was when we visited.”

Fulvi takes over the role previously held by interim President Patrick Geschwind. Geschwind was appointed after the resignation of Ronnie Burt.
