The 1,500 employees of Kansas City-based USA800 are now working for someone besides themselves: The employee-owned calling-center concern has been acquired by The Results Companies of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
In a news release completion of the deal this week, officials with Results said the acquisition of USA800 continued the company’s strategic growth plans and provided both Results and USA800 customers with expanded capabilities and Resources. USA800’s operations in Kansas, Missouri and Texas give Results a hand in 28 sites, handling almost 120 million transactions annually.
Results is a portfolio company of One Equity Partners of New York.
“There were a number of bidders seeking to acquire USA800,” said Tom Davis, CEO of USA800. “We were very focused on finding a partner that would help us elevate our ability to provide innovative customer experiences to our customers and Results was the most capable of doing that by far.”
In addition, he said, as an ESOP, USA800 was “looking for someone that understood the value of people and offered significant growth opportunities not just from a business perspective, but also for our people. Again, Results is an ideal match with their emphasis on hiring and developing the best people.”
