UMB Promotes CMO to President of Consumer Banking

UMB Financial Corp. has promoted Liz Lewis to president of consumer banking, in addition to continuing her duties as chief marketing officer.

Lewis is now responsible for the consumer banking division which oversees retail, private and mortgage banking, according to a release. She will also continue her marketing, communication and sales support responsibilities as CMO, a position she has held at the bank since May 2023.

“Liz’s extensive experience in leading consumer, commercial and product divisions at other financial institutions uniquely positions her to effectively lead our consumer division,” Jim Rine, president of UMB Financial and CEO of UMB Bank, said in the release.

Before joining UMB last year, Lewis served as senior vice president for commercial and retail lines of business at CommunityAmerica Credit Union. She also served in several leadership roles at Commerce Bank for over 16 years.
