Truman Medical Centers announces new general counsel



Jolie Justus will take over the position of general counsel in September for Truman Medical Centers/ University Health, bringing experience from prior political roles on both the local and state level.

Bringing in experience from leadership roles as a council person for the city of Kansas City, Mo. and with the Missouri Senate, Jolie Justus will soon take over as general counsel for Truman Medical Centers/ University Health.

On Sept. 4, Justus will take her new position after spending over a decade in politics.

From 2007-2015, Justus represented Kansas City in the Missouri Senate and another two years as Senate Minority Leader.

Justus spent four years as councilperson for the city of Kansas City, Missouri, serving from 2015-2019.

In her new role, Justus will lead a legal team supporting the health system providing care to those with insurance and those with no insurance at all.

Earlier this year, Justus joined Truman Medical Centers as Associate General Counsel.
