Kansas City-based Trozzolo Communications Group has named Chris Humphreys as its new chief strategy officer.
Humphreys brings with him over a decade of experience in strategic planning. Most recently, Humphreys founded the full-service agency, The Futures Group, in 2018, before leaving the company in January. He also served as chief marketing officer at health-tech startup MyDigiRecords.
Before he founded The Futures Group, he served as the senior vice president of strategic planning for Intouch Solutions, which rebranded to Eversana Intouch. During his tenure, he grew the strategy department from four to 21 members and expanded the discipline into new markets.
“Trozzolo is at an exciting inflection point,” Humphreys said in a release. “There is a strong creative foundation here and a clear opportunity to deepen our strategic advantage. I’m excited to help our clients slow down just enough to solve the right problems so their brands can grow faster and more profitably.”
Humphreys will also serve as a mentor for internal growth at Trozzolos and will focus on raising the agency’s “strategic confidence.”
“Chris is a rare talent who can translate complex data into clear, motivating brand narratives,” CEO of Trozzolo, Angelo Trozzolo, said in the release. “As we continue to grow, his ability to bring strategic discipline to every stage of the process will be a significant advantage for our clients and our team.”
Trozzolo Communications Group ranked No. 9 in Ad Agencies and Marketing Firms and No. 8 in the Top Area Digital Marketing Firms in The Power Book 2025 edition. The firm generated $17.8 million in gross revenue in 2023. The firm was founded in 1989 and currently employs around 80 full-time associates in its downtown Kansas City headquarters.
