The Ensign Group Acquires KCK Providence Place

California-based The Ensign Group announced last week it has acquired a skilled nursing facility in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Ensign Group now controls operations of Providence Place, a 45-bed skilled nursing facility. The acquisition was effective Oct. 1 and will be subject to a long-term, triple net lease, according to a release.

“This acquisition created a perfect opportunity for growth in Kansas, where we have been carefully reviewing opportunities for some time,” Ensign Group CEO, Barry Port said in a release. “We are thrilled to strengthen our relationship with Providence Medical Center and Prime Healthcare.”

The Ensign Group operates 296 healthcare facilities and 26 senior living centers in 13 states.

Providence Place now encompasses the Healthcare Resort of Kansas City and Riverbend Post Acute Rehabilitation in Kansas City, Kansas; Shawnee Post Acute & Rehabilitation Center near the Advent Health campus in Overland Park; The Healthcare Resort of Olathe on the Olathe Medical Center campus; and The Healthcare Resort of Leawood.
