T-Mobile Center to resume public performances

By Madison Parry

After nearly 10 months since last hosting in-person public events, the newly branded T-Mobile Center is geared to resume performances beginning next month. In late January, the center will host its first public show since March under limited capacity.

A long wait will soon be over for many in the region hoping to attend public events again.

After receiving new signage in the fall, the T-Mobile Center in the downtown Kansas City will open next month in late January for its first public performance with a live audience since March.

Sixteen performances of Disney on Ice will run from Jan. 28 to Feb. 7, the first event to fill the space since the cancellation of the Big 12 Tournament.

Fans of the tournament were the last to visit the T-Mobile Center in 2020, fans banned from attending the games in person just a day after the tournament began on March 12.

Restrictions will still be in place, however, for those purchasing tickets for the January and February shows.

“Seating capacity for Disney on Ice performances at T-Mobile Center will be reduced in accordance with guidelines from local public health officials including utilizing a Pod Seating structure,” the event’s ticket website said.
