Swope Health Belton Adds New Dentist, Dental Services

Swope Health announced the addition of dental services at Swope Health Belton effective Jan. 14.

Swope Health Belton, located at 206 E. North Ave., Belton, MO, now offers dental care ranging from emergency dental services and primary medical care. Swope Health Belton has also added a new staff including a dentist, a dental hygienist, two dental assistants and a clinic manager, according to a release.

A ribbon-cutting event for the latest expansion was held on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Dr. Frank Blacknall, D.D.S. joins the Bleton facility’s staff as its new dentist. With more than 20 years of experience in dental practice, Blacknell is a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served the dental needs of U.S. Marines at Camp Pendleton, California.

“The decision to expand Swope Health Belton was due, in large part, to feedback received from current patients who cite access to transportation as a factor hindering their pursuit of dental care,” Swope Health president and CEO, Jeron Ravin, said in the release. “Now, with dental services provided within the clinic they already visit, we can create a hub of comprehensive healthcare and remove barriers for our Belton patients and the broader Belton community.”

Swope Health operates 22 locations throughout the Kansas and Missouri region including Kansas City, Belton, Independence, Kansas City North, Hickman Mills, and Wyandotte and Leavenworth Counties in Kansas. The healthcare provider served over 50,000 patients in 2023.
