Study Shows Change In Real Estate Market, More Pay For Agents

A study shows 96 percent of total commission gross earned by agents working under United Real Estate goes straight into the agent’s pocket, thats the most out of any other national brokerage.

The analysis from real estate strategist Mike DelPrete shows that brokerages keep from 4 percent up to 23 percent of what agents earn in their home sale transactions.

Operating profitability on this thin margin is possible in due to scale and volume. Since 2019, United has experienced a 268 percent growth in agent count and an 826 percent increase in revenues, according to the release.

For reference, the next highest percentage for revenue paid to agents in Q1 2023 is Fathom and Real tied at 95 percent, RealityONE at 93 percent and eXp Realty at 91 percent.

While these numbers are not a far cry from United’s 96 percent, United believes it was more profitable in 2022 than any other competitor, according to the release.
