Spirit Airlines announced Thursday that the carrier would begin daily nonstop flights between Kansas City International Airport and Orlando International Airport starting Nov. 10. Flights will be operated using Airbus A319 aircraft with 145 seats.

“We’re pleased to see our newest airline expand their ‘ultra-low fare’ service here,” said Joe McBride, marketing and communications manager for the Kansas City’s Aviation Department. “Orlando is one of the most popular destinations from Kansas City, and these new flights will certainly cause that demand to increase.”

Spirit also announced new daily nonstop service between Orlando and four other U.S. markets Thursday.

Spirit launched service from KCI in August 2014. In January 2015 Spirit was named Value Airline of the Year by Air Transport World. Spirit’s new flights will be available for purchase at www.spirit.com.
