Spencer Fane Continues Its National Growth

The new year is bringing additional national growth to one of Kansas City’s largest law firms. Spencer Fane LLP announced today that it is establishing a presence in both Minneapolis and Tampa.

Donald Heeman, Jessica Nelson and Randi Winter will join the firm in Minneapolis to expand Spencer Fane’s capabilities in business litigation and financial services. Doug Knox and Kirby McDonough will join the firm in Tampa to also expand its business litigation and financial services, along with franchise practices.

The addition of these offices brings Spencer Fane’s total number of offices to a tally of 17 throughout the country.

The opening of these two offices was not the only news Spencer Fane released – The firm also announced that David Funkhouser is joining the firm’s Phoenix office as Partner.

“Our commitment to delivering the best possible legal solutions requires agility–including expanding to areas where our clients can significantly benefit from our local presence,” Patrick Whalen, Spencer Fane managing partner said in a statement from the company.

National expansion is not a foreign concept to Spencer Fane. The firm opened its Oklahoma City office in 2016, Phoenix and Las Vegas offices in 2017, and just in 2018, it established an office in the Dallas area.
