Mission, Kansas-based SkillPath, a professional development training organization, announced it has appointed Brian Morris as chief executive officer.

Morris will begin his new role leading the company, effective immediately. Last year, SkillPath former CEO, Michele Markey, announced she would be retiring from her role. SkillPath is a subsidiary of Graceland University and directs its proceeds into the institution.

Under Morris’s leadership, SkillPath will accelerate its innovation in hybrid and digital formats, expand enterprise partnerships, and deepen its focus on measurable outcomes that drive workforce performance and organizational agility, according to a release.

“I look forward to working alongside our team members to serve our clients by creating learning experiences that transform careers, organizations, and lives. As a Kansas City native, I am proud to lead a Kansas City-based company that serves organizations around the world,” Morris said in the release.

Most recently, Morris served as the founder and CEO of Morris Strategic, a consulting firm he founded in 2025 to guide corporate, collegiate, and nonprofit clients in leadership development and strategy. Before that, Morris spent over 2 years at Leadercast, where he served as the company’s chief revenue officer and then as the president & managing partner.

He also served in several other leadership and C-suite positions at Mammoth Sports Construction and McCownGordon Construction, according to his LinkedIn profile.

“His expertise and values align perfectly with our mission to enrich the global workforce while championing the students who benefit from our model,” Dr. Michael Wiley, Board Chair of the Graceland University Board of Trustees, said in the release.

Established in 1989, SkillPath specializes in corporate training, marketing and business development through online and in-person courses. The non-profit organization has trained more than 15 million professionals with nearly 100 full-time employees and 160 trainers, according to its website.
