Shawnee Mission Health is Now AdventHealth

Adventist Health System has officially changed its name to AdventHealth. With this name change, Shawnee Mission Hospital, one of the system’s 47 hospital campuses in nine states, was also rebranded.

The change is not a result of a merger or acquisition, but rather a systemwide brand transformation.

“Our facilities and team members are [now] galvanized around one name, brand and mission, and in doing this, we will deliver on our promise of wholeness and make the health journey easier for consumers,” Terry Shaw, president and CEO of Advent Health said in a statement from the organization.

Furthermore, according to the health system, its affiliation with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its mission of “extending the healing ministry of Christ” will also remain.
