PBI-Gordon Companies, a turf, ornamental and animal health product manufacturer, has announced two leadership changes.
The employee-owned company announced that Gilbert “Gib” Bourk and Eric Bur have been promoted to the executive leadership team, according to a release. Bourk was promoted to vice president and general counsel, while Bur was promoted to vice president and chief financial officer for PBI.
Their promotions also include leadership of PBI subsidiaries, PBI-Gordon Corporation, Pegasus Laboratories and Pet-Ag, Inc. Bourk and Bur will report directly to Steve Clifford, president and CEO of PBI.
Bourk first joined PBI in 2019 as senior director of the legal department. Before he joined the ranks at PBI, Bourk served as an assistant general counsel for EXL for nearly 4.5 years. He also served as senior vice president, general counsel and the Board secretary at Overland Solutions, Inc., an EXL Company, for over 11 years. Additionally, Bourk has served in leadership roles at Quest Diagnostics and Osborn Group, Inc. in the Kansas City metro area, according to his LinkedIn page.

As CFO, Bur will oversee financial planning, accounting and IT functions for PBI. He joined PBI in 2019 as the senior director of finance. Bur has served as a CFO — in addition to other C-Suite positions — for various companies over the years, including Xact Data Discovery, Xceligent, Saepio Technologies, Perceptive Software and NIC, Inc., according to his LinkedIn page.

Based in Shawnee, PBI-Gordon Companies was founded in 1947 and is employee-owned. The company specializes in turf management, golf industry products, farm and home products, animal health industry, pet grooming and animal nutrition.
