Saint Luke’s East Hospital is spending $52 million to increase its square footage by about 10 percent translating to a 62,000-square-foot addition to the campus.

Lee’s Summit-based Saint Luke’s East Hospital’s reasoning behind the recent renovations comes from the increasing demand for service. The renovation would include three new operating rooms and allow the inclusion of the Women’s Health East Campus to be incorporated into the main campus.

Sections of the expansion will be completed this fall and ready to see patients and the development in its entirety is set to be complete in 2025, according to the hospital.

Groundbreaking of the expansion began in April of this year with construction being helmed by St. Louis-based McCarthy Building Cos.
