Research Medical Center Appoints Tremaine Gibson as COO

HCA Midwest Health announced the appointment of Tremaine Gibson as chief operating officer at Research Medical Center.

Gibson joins Research Medical Center from HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, where he served as vice president of operations for five years.

While at HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, Gibson oversaw neurosciences, inpatient rehabilitation, imaging, laboratory services, plant operations, dietary services, environmental services, security and emergency management. He also directed more than $140 million in capital investments supporting key programs and infrastructure improvements.

“I’m excited to join an organization with such a strong culture and commitment to high-quality care,” Gibson said in the release. “I look forward to partnering with our physicians, nurses and colleagues as we continue expanding access, supporting our community and advancing the exceptional care patients expect from Research Medical Center.”

Gibson earned his master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M University.

Research Medical Center is a 590-bed facility located at 2316 East Meyer Boulevard in Kansas City. The facility features a Level I Trauma Center and Level 1 Time Critical Diagnosis services for stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, heart attack, and sepsis.
