Overland Park-based Patheous Health Inc. has acquired DianosTEX, an onsite dysphagia imaging provider in the Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas market.

Patheous Health, which offers mobile dysphagia imaging services, first announced the acquisition of DianosTEX, according to a release Tuesday. DianosTEX specializes in modified-barium swallow (MBS) dysphagia imaging, a practice allowing radiologists to identify patients who have trouble swallowing.

Through the acquisition, Patheous Health is expanding its dysphagia imaging services for skilled nursing facilities, home health patients and bolsters its MBS adult and pediatric services.

“Uniting with DiagnosTEX furthers Patheous Health’s mission to provide high-quality, accessible healthcare for patients impacted by swallowing impairments and dysphagia related complications,” Patheous Health CEO Michael Peck said.

With the addition of the Dallas and Fort Worth markets, Patheous Health’s service covers eighteen states and is the largest onsite dysphagia imaging provider in the U.S., according to the release.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
