Overland Park Regional Medical Center Taps John Corbeil as New CEO

Overland Park Regional Medical Center has named John Corbeil chief executive officer.

Corbeil brings with him 15 years of leadership experience at HCA Healthcare. In his new role, Corbeil will oversee Overland Park Regional Medical Center’s patient care, clinical excellence and strategic growth.

Previously, Corbeil served as the CEO of HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood from 2018. Before his time in Kingwood, he also served in leadership roles at HCA Medical City Fort Worth as Chief Operating Officer for nearly 3 years and at HCA Medical City Dallas Hospital as Associate Chief Operating Officer for over 1.5 years.

“Overland Park Regional Medical Center has earned an outstanding reputation for delivering compassionate care and advancing healthcare across the Kansas City region,” Corbeil said in a release. “I am honored to join a team that is deeply committed to serving this incredible community and look forward to building on the hospital’s foundation by investing in our people, strengthening our partnerships with physicians, and expanding access to care for the communities we serve.”

Corbeil earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Iowa.

Corbeil succeeds Matt Sogard, who took on the role of CEO of Overland Park Regional Medical Center in 2018.
