Kansas City, Kansas-based Orange EV announced it has secured a $100 million revolving credit facility led by Wells Fargo Bank.
The round of funding will go toward increasing the company’s liquidity to meet capital needs, the continued expansion of OptiGrid LLC, a subsidiary of Orange that specializes in electric vehicle charging solutions, and the growth of its rental and leasing platform, according to a release.
Orange EV officially launched OptiGrid in June 2025.
“This expanded liquidity gives us the room to grow at the record-breaking pace we’ve been on this year as we’re on track for one out of every four new yard trucks purchased or leased to be an Orange EV yard truck,” Kurt Neutgens, CEO of Orange EV, said in the release.
This announcement follows a string of growth for the EV company. Over the past two months, the company has made a 40-truck order with APM Terminals in California, deployed its 2,000th electric terminal truck, and an order for 600 electric terminal trucks.
Headquartered in Kansas City, Kansas, Orange EV specializes in delivering Class 8 EV trucks, on-site service, and deployable chargers to clients. Founded in 2012, the company’s fleet of trucks has worked 36 million miles and 14 million hours of operation across 43 states, Canada, and the Caribbean.
