Oracle Corp. will lay off 124 employees and will cease ITWorks operations at one of the company’s client locations in Springfield, MO, following its client’s decision to transition to a different electronic health record system.

According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice, will be terminating employees at CoxHealth located at 1115 E. Primrose St. CoxHealth is a not-for-profit health system operating six hospitals with more than 80 clinics and nearly 12,000 employees throughout southwest Missouri, according to its website.

Oracle’s ITWorks operations at the Springfield location are shutting down as part of this
reduction in force and terminations are expected to remain permanent, according to the WARN. However, CoxHealth has made offers of employment to all of the affected employees.

Oracle notified all affected employees as of Feb. 1 and all affected employees will be separated from their positions as of April 1.

Affected job titles include associate clinical consultant, business analyst, systems analyst and IT systems.

CoxHealth announced it will implement Epic as its new electronic health record system in December. Previously, CoxHealth used Center Corp. for its electronic health system. Oracle purchased Center for approximately $28.3 billion in 2022.
