Olathe Health Names Its New CEO

A veteran hospital executive has been selected as the new President and CEO for Olathe Health System, which includes Olathe Medical Center, Miami County Medical Center and Olathe Health Physicians. Stan Holm will take over on Nov. 1, as longtime CEO Frank Devocelle is set to retire after 47 years.

Well-versed in health care, Holm will start at Olathe Health after already dedicating 23 years to health-care management. Most recently he was the CEO of Abrazo West in Arizona, and before that he served at hospital systems in Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.

“We are especially impressed with Stan’s track record of building positive culture, physician recruitment and relations, and developing services that transform patient care in a positive way,” James Hubbard, board chairman of Olathe Health, said in a release announcing Holm’s appointment. “He clearly possesses the right experience, expertise and positive attitude to lead our thriving health system as we grow to meet the needs of the communities we serve.”

In addition to health care, Holm is also dedicated to improving the broader community, as shown through his commitment to organizations such as the Chambers of Commerce, Rotary, Habitat for Humanity, Boys & Girls Clubs and United Way, where he has served on boards, through membership, and volunteering.
