Ogletree Deakins has added Nicholas Ruble to the firm’s Kansas City office as a shareholder.
Before joining Ogletree Deakins, Ruble served at Kansas City-based Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice as a member and vice-chair of the firm’s Employment and Labor Practice Group for over 5 years. Earlier in his career, Ruble also served as an associate attorney at McCauley & Roach, LLC for nearly 8 years and another associate attorney at Commercial Law Group, PA for over 1.5 years, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“Ogletree Deakins provides attorneys with the resources to serve clients across every stage of the employer relationship, from strategy and policy work through hearings and trial,” Ruble said in a release. “That range, combined with the firm’s national reach, is what drew me here.
Ruble’s practice focuses on employment litigation and traditional labor and brings first-chair trial experience to his new role. Ruble represents companies of all sizes across numerous industries, including banking, construction, insurance and retail, according to the release.
Ogletree Deakins is an employment law firm with more than 1,100 attorneys in 60 offices worldwide. It specializes in legal matters, including traditional labor and employment, workplace safety, employee benefits, and business immigration matters. The firm reports having 13 attorneys at its Kansas City office, according to its website.
“Nick’s arrival strengthens our Kansas City office in exactly the areas our clients need most right now: first-chair litigation experience and collective bargaining knowledge,” Michael Matula, office managing shareholder in Kansas City, said in the release. “He has represented a diverse set of clients in litigation, arbitration, and in federal agency proceedings throughout his career, and that range of experience is exactly what our clients are looking for as they face more contested labor and employment matters.”
Ogletree Deakins’ Kansas City office is located at 700 W. 47th Street, Suite 500, in the Country Club Plaza.
