New Rezoning Request Would Bring Another Apartment Complex To The County Club Plaza

Block Real Estate Services LLC and Sunflower Development Group filed for a rezoning request in the Country Club Plaza last week and seek to build a 213-unit apartment and garage space.

The rezoning request includes a 10-story, 213-apartment complex located at 4627 Madison Ave. in the Country Club Plaza. The apartment complex would also implement features such as a pool and bar, fitness center, work-from-home spaces and unit patios.

In addition to the complex, a 477-space garage, consisting of 336 residential and 141 office spaces, will also accompany the redevelopment.

The project aims for a 2024 groundbreaking if approved.

In late August, the Country Club Plaza’s owners defaulted on a $295 million loan, sparking interest in redevelopment for the area. The plaza also has two other apartment projects including Block Real Estates’ 238-unit, The Madison, development and Lane4 Properties’ 328-unit project located at 4711 Belleview Ave.
