New Ranking Says Leawood is the Best Small City in America

According to a new ranking, Leawood is the place to be. WalletHub released its list of the best small cities to live in America, and Leawood has taken the cake, as it was placed in the top 1 percent of small cities. The cities chosen all offer perks to residents like “more wiggle room,” and shorter commutes, but the biggest benefit of living in every single one of the cities chosen is affordability.

To determine its list, WalletHub “compared more than 1,200 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 based on 40 key indicators of livability. They range from housing costs to school-system quality to restaurants per capita.”

And Leawood wasn’t the only Kansas town chosen. Below is a list of all the Kansas and Missouri cities that made the cut. But don’t be surprised when you don’t see Overland Park or Olathe anywhere. OP’s population comes in just under 200,000, while Olathe’s is just over 130,000, disqualifying them from consideration.
