New Poll Shows McCaskill with Slight Lead over Hawley

In a poll of registered voters released this month by Axios.com/Survey Monkey, incumbent Senator Claire McCaskill (D) holds a small percentage of a lead over challenger, Attorney General Josh Hawley (R). However, Missouri is one of the bright spots for Democrats considering most every other state shows a Republican leading the informal poll.

The poll shows that many seats that are up for re-election in the midterm are likely not to be filled with enough Democrats for the party to take control of the Senate.
