Overland Park-based Netsmart announced a strategic partnership with a senior care public-benefit corporation to bolster its value-based care designed around quality of care and provider performance to people with Medicare.

Netsmart is partnering with Kansas City-based Serviam Care Network to bring “first of its kind” value-based care technology to senior living facilities. Serviam, which offers spend management, laboratory, pharmacy and other services to senior living centers, serves more than 92,000 people through 34 operators across 47 states, according to a release.

“Netsmart continues to be at the forefront of integrating value-based care technology into the operations of senior living and post-acute care communities,” senior vice president and managing director of CareDimensions at Netsmart, Scott Green said in the release. “By working together, we are positioned to transform senior care delivery nationwide by using technology to shift to a more proactive model of care driven.”

The partnership will see Serviam’s chief product and innovation officer, Kelly Keefe, join the Netsmart population health management team.

“This partnership is more than just a step towards innovative care solutions; it’s a gateway for Serviam to commercialize a purpose-built care coordination platform with workflow and logic designed specifically for residents of Senior Living, to Serviam’s Network Membership and the Value-Based Care Alliance at large,” CEO of Serviam Care Network Tim Donnelly said in the release.
