Multistudio Names Amanda Harper and Dan Zeller Co-CEOs

Kansas City-based design firm Multistudio announced it has elevated Amanda Harper and Dan Zeller to co-chief executive officer roles.

Harper and Zeller succeed Anthony Rohr, who has led Multistudio since 2007 and oversaw its rebranding from Gould Evans to Multistudio. Rohr will stay at the firm as principal and will continue to work with the Co-CEOs during the transition, according to a Tuesday release.

Zeller first joined Multistudio 31 years ago. During his time with the studio, he helped guide client relationships such as Olathe-based Garmin and the design of its corporate campus.

“Staying connected to our clients and our design teams will allow us to build on the achievements of the past 50 years as we look ahead to the next 50,” Zeller said in a release.

Harper first joined Multistudio in 2006 as a graphic designer after she answered a Craigslist ad. Since then, she has climbed to multiple leadership roles within Multistudio, including board director and, most recently, managing principal of brand experience. She also worked closely with Zeller on the Garmin project, as well as building client relationships with Aramark, the City of Phoenix, and the University of Kansas on the Allen Fieldhouse and David Booth Memorial Stadium.

“What makes this moment meaningful is that I’m not looking at a firm I want to change; rather, I’m looking at a practice I believe in and see opportunity to make more connected and ambitious. Dan and I bring different experiences, perspectives, and strengths to the table, and that is what makes this model exciting,” Harper said in the release.

Multistudio is headquartered in Kansas City and was founded in 1974. Today, Multistudio is working with 56 projects under construction, 5 studios, and 100 employee-owners.

The firm’s recent work includes the 390,000-square-foot, $375 million American Royal campus in Kansas City, Kansas; Central Station, a mixed-use development in downtown Phoenix; and the Indianapolis Cultural Trail development and design guidelines, a more than 10-mile bicycle and pedestrian corridor.

Multistudio placed No. 6 on Top Area Architectural Firms ranked by Number of KC-Area Licensed Architects as featured in Ingram’s Power Book 2026 edition. The firm reported over 30 licensed architects in the KC area in 2025 and over 50 firmwide.
