Overland Park-based MMGY Global announced it has acquired Think Strawberries, a travel marketing brand headquartered in India.
The Indian company will now operate as MMGY Think Strawberries, marking MMGY’s official entry into South Asia and the Middle East markets, according to a release.
“It’s a bold and intentional step toward building a truly global offering – and we couldn’t be more excited to do it alongside the passionate, proven team at Think Strawberries,” MMGY Global CEO Katie Briscoe said in a release.
Think Strawberries was originally founded in 2011 by Amit Kishore. The company has represented travel brands and destinations such as the Maldives, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Sharjah, Portugal, Disneyland Paris, Orlando and Dubai Parks. In addition to being headquartered in India, Think Strawberries also has a presence in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
Kishore will now serve as managing director and head of strategy for MMGY Think Strawberries. Other legacy executives suck as Munnmunn Marwah and Sanya Zaidi will continue to lead operations in India and the GCC, respectively.
“Joining MMGY Global gives us access to world-class tools, data-driven insights and a truly international platform,” Kishore said in the release. “More importantly, it aligns with our vision to craft more meaningful, strategic connections between brands and travelers. Together, we’re setting the gold standard for integrated marketing, plus a new era of storytelling and growth across South Asia and the Middle East.”
Following the acquisition, MMGY Global will now operate 16 global offices and 650 teammates worldwide.
