Mizzou, BYU Will Play at Arrowhead Stadium in 2015

College football fans aching for Division I action in Kansas City will get a one-day fix next fall: The Chiefs announced today that the Missouri Tigers will play the Brigham Young Cougars on Nov. 14, 2015, at Arrowhead Stadium. It will be the first contest between teams from the NCAA’s Football Bowl Subdivision at the stadium since the Missouri-KU game in 2011, when the Tigers were still part of the Big XII.

“We’ve been focused on bringing FBS football back to Arrowhead Stadium for some time and have investigated a number of ways to accomplish that,” Chiefs President Mark Donovan said in a news release this morning. “We want to thank both Missouri and BYU for making this possible. We know that this will be a unique opportunity for the players, coaches and fans of both institutions to experience the iconic Arrowhead atmosphere.”

MU, now a part of the Southeastern Conference, will be home team for the intersectional game. It will be Mizzou’s eighth appearance at Arrowhead, where the Tigers have a 5-2 record.

BYU is one of the few Division I teams without a conference affiliation.
