Governor’s Award to KC Woman’s Business

Colleen Ellis, President of J.M. Neil & Associates, a personnel consulting and staffing solutions company, received the 2016 Governor’s Woman-Owned Business of the Year Award today.

The award is presented annually to a business owner demonstrating outstanding success through her company’s contributions to Missouri communities and the economy.

Ellis purchased ownership of J.M. Neil in 2007, following the death of her mother, company founder JoAnne Mina. Growth into what the company calls, “a world class agency” is credited to Ellis’ leadership and the building of a strong management team.

While J.M. Neil, currently celebrating its 30th year in business, has achieved several milestones with Ellis at the helm, the award-winning entrepreneur has plans for even more. “Our goal is to achieve double digit growth in revenue and profits in 2017,” Ellis says, “while continuing to expand the portfolio of services we offer.”
