Michelle Myers Named Provost at Park University

There’s a new provost at Park University. Although the university conducted a nationwide search, it chose its interim provost, Michelle Myers, for the role. Myers, who joined Park in July 2010,  has served as the interim provost since May 2017, and before that, was the dean of the College of Education and Health Professions

“I am excited to have Dr. Myers as our new provost as her focus on student success and innovation, and her demonstrated commitment to the University, will empower her to lead from day one in this critical role,” Greg Gunderson, Park University president, said in a release.

Myers is no rookie in the education community. Prior to joining the ranks at Park University, Myers held administrative roles at Queens College, the City University of New York and the University of Central Missouri. And now as Park University Provost, Myers will serve as the university’s chief academic officer, making her responsible for faculty development, student assessment and support and curriculum compliance.
