Lenexa Lands eCommerce Distribution Site

Economic-development officials today announced that eCommerce retailer Turn5 would open a new distribution center in Lenexa in October, with the potential to add 100 jobs in the area over by mid-2021.

Turn5 will expand its national fulfillment operations with the new 365,000-square-foot building in the 17700 block of College Boulevard. The company, founded in 2004, provides aftermarket automotive parts, and says it will be better able to serve clients from a Midwestern hub.

“Kansas’s central location and our focus on building and maintaining an outstanding infrastructure are key reasons many smart companies choose our state for distribution centers. It is easier, faster and less expensive to ship to and from Kansas,” said Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer. “We are proud a thriving eCommerce company such as Turn5 has selected Lenexa for its new distribution hub and wish them great success.”

“Our presence in Kansas will help us expand our fulfillment operation and create better customer experiences,” said Steve Voudouris, Turn5’s CEO and founding partner. Turn5 is the operating company for AmericanMuscle.com, ExtremeTerrain.com, and AmericanTrucks.com, and was an EY Entrepreneur of the Year company in 2017.

“We are very pleased that Turn5 has chosen Lenexa for their new facility,” said Lenexa Mayor Mike Boehm. “We have a growing number of high profile eCommerce and logistics centers in our community, and with their focus on customer service, employee engagement and community involvement, they will be a perfect fit.  We appreciate their commitment to our city.”
