Leawood-based ValueHealth to expand to new market

ValueHealth LLC announced it will be opening a new joint-replacement surgery center in Florida, several states away from its metro headquarters. ValueHealth opens Muve Health clinics through joint ventures with health care providers. This will be the third clinic for the company.

ValueHealth LLC says a new joint-replacement surgery center in Florida could save $12 million a year in health costs.

The Leawood-based company, part of Nueterra Capital, announced plans to develop a total joint surgery center in Pompano Beach. The clinic will be the fifth clinic under the Muve Health brand, and the first in Southeast Florida, according to a release.

The facility will have two operating rooms and eight surgical stay suites. By its fifth year, the company said the clinic will be operating at capacity, offering 1,200 joint replacement procedures a year and bringing potential health care savings of $12 million a year.

ValueHealth opens Muve Health clinics through joint ventures with health care providers. It has clinics in Lakeway, Texas; and in Warminster and West Chester, Pennsylvania. A fourth clinic will be located in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.
