KU Selects the Next School of Engineering Dean



The University of Kansas selects Mary Rezac as the next dean of the KU School of Engineering.

The University of Kansas announced Mary Rezac as the next dean of the KU School of Engineering and will begin effective March 1, 2024.

Rezac currently serves as dean of Washington State University’s Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture where she oversees seven academic schools and multiple research centers.

Additionally, Rezac is also responsible for the school’s $80 million budget as well as earning the college millions of dollars in funding through corporate and government relations.

As the KU School of Engineering dean, she will responsibilities include securing partnerships, attracting and retaining students and faculty as well as overseeing the school’s approximately $34 million budget, according to KU.

Rezac earned a doctorate and master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
