KS, MO Fared Better Than Most States With PPP

Kansas and Missouri both did relatively well in receiving funds from the $350-billion Payroll Protection Program COVID-19 relief bill, at least compared to most states.

Kansas came in nine per capita of all states for funding, while Missouri was ranked 10th, according to a survey by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.

“Those stats are an indication of how hard the banking community has been working in order to get the loan applications processed and approved,” said Joe Reardon, president and chief executive officer of the chamber.

The chamber also reported that so far about $16 million has been donated in the Kansas City area toward COVID-19 relief charity funds.
