KCU’s Joplin Medical School Approved to Begin Operations



The Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCU) has announced that it has gotten the go ahead from its accrediting organization the to begin operations and admit students at KCUs Joplin site, which is currently under construction.

KCU-Joplin will begin recruiting 150 medical students for the class of 2021 immediately. Construction of the new campus is scheduled to be completed in April of 2017, with classes beginning the following July.

Recognizing community partners and philanthropic leadership from the surrounding community, Marc B. Hahn, President and CEO of KCU said, “We are proud to begin enrolling students in the first new medical school in Missouri in nearly 50 years.”
