Plans for the $150 million Margaritaville Hotel have been unveiled by the resort company and it is slated to open its doors in 2025.

Spring 2025, to be exact.

The Kansas City, Kansas report will break ground east of The Legends Outlets at the northeast corner of I-70 and I-435.

The Margaritaville in Kansas City began as a partnership between the Margaritaville brand as well as Homefield KC and Sunflower Development Group, LLC.

The complete development will feature a 229-room hotel and will be accompanied by amenities such as an outdoor resort-style pool, indoor pool, event spaces, retail spaces and Margaritaville-inspired restaurants and bars, according to a release.

“At Margaritaville, we carefully and thoughtfully choose which markets to enter and are excited to build upon our footprint in the Midwest region with Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City,” senior vice president of development at Margaritaville Rick Cunningham said.

The hotel was developed by The McBride Company, and the architectural concept is being worked on by Record Generator Studio. The building is being constructed by Turner Construction Company and Superior Bowen. Davidson Hospitality Group will be managing the hotel when complete.
