Kansas City to Get a New Indoor Football Team

A new indoor football team for Kansas City was announced today by the team’s owners. We intend to bring a fan friendly, affordable indoor-football franchise “that is part of the community and a competitor on the field the City can be proud of,” adding, “We looked at a number of markets and came to the conclusion this was the best fit for this brand of football with knowledgeable sports fans and a community that has shown it will support its local teams.

The as yet unnamed team is proposed to play in the Champions Indoor Football league for the upcoming 2017 season. The owners plan on giving the public an opportunity to name the team.
