The new multi-year agreement begins with the 2020 season, the Sinclair-owned regional sports network now entering its thirteenth season as exclusive television home of the Royals and twenty-first overall as its television partner.

Fox Sports Kansas City, owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, has extended its agreement with the Kansas City Royals and will continue to broadcast games over its airwaves.

The team made the announcement Monday, revealing they agreed to a new multi-year media rights agreement with the network.

“On behalf of our organization, I’m excited to announce we have reached this agreement with the Sinclair Broadcast Group to continue to bring Royals baseball to our fan base on FOX Sports Kansas City,” John Sherman, Kansas City Royals chairman and CEO said in a Monday news release.

“We’re thrilled to announce a new agreement with the Royals,” Chris Ripley, Sinclair Broadcast Group president and CEO said. “This is a great deal with an important longtime partner that allows us additional flexibility for distribution and digital rights. It’s been the network’s honor to bring Royals fans some of the greatest moments in franchise history, and we can’t wait to be part of many more in the years to come.”
