The KCMO metro ranked in ninth place for best metros for Millenials to live in as they continue to shape the country’s culture and economy, according to a recent survey from Commerical Cafe.
Millennials continue to hold the mantle of the largest workforce in the country. As more continue to take up leadership roles in the cities they inhabit, in turn, the influence of the city’s role fluctuates as well.
In addition to claiming a spot on this list, KCMO also claimed the lowest cost of living among all large metros. Compared to the national average, the cost of living in the city was 6.3% lower, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
KCMO also ranked fourth in unemployment and while the metro does not house as many Millenials as other higher-ranking metros, Kansas City showed a ten percent increase in the Millenial age group.
