Kansas City FedEx Ground distribution center to create 300 jobs

A new FedEx distribution center located in Kansas City's Northland Park and set to open in October is expected to create 300 jobs for its operations, a hiring boost which will add to the company’s 4,100 current metro employees.

Kansas City’s Northland Park welcomes FedEx Ground to its industrial park, the company set to open operations at the location in October.

The new FedEx center plans to open 300 jobs at its 548,500-square-foot distribution center to add to the current 4,100 employees it has in the metro.

FedEx Ground is leasing the space and will be operating out of the largest of Northland Park’s six industrial buildings it currently has.

The industrial building was completed earlier this year by NorthPoint Development and includes 42 dock positions, four drive-in docks and 130 trailer stalls.

Not including the soon-to-open FedEx Ground facility at Northland Park, end of May 2020 numbers show that FedEx Ground has 591 operating facilities and 39 regional hubs in the U.S. and Canada.
