Kansas City Connects to the Katy Trail

This coming Saturday, December 10, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon will cut a ribbon, opening a new walking/cycling trail that connects Kansas City with the famous Katy Trail.

Cyclists and walkers will now have walkers an uninterrupted path of almost 300 miles from Kansas City all the way to the St. Louis area.

The new section of the trail will follow the corridor of the old Rock Island Railroad for 47.5 miles from Pleasant Hill to Windsor, where there will be a junction with the current Katy Trail State Park.
