Home Healthcare Company Acquires 49-Bed Nursing Home in De Soto

California-based The Ensign Group, Inc. announced it has acquired the real estate and operations of a nursing center in De Soto, further building the company’s Kansas market.

Ensign acquired Hillside Village of De Soto Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a facility with 49 nursing beds and 38 assisted living units, according to a Wednesday release. The acquisition is effective as of May 1.

“We are thrilled to be adding this operation to Kansas, a market where we have had consistent, steady growth over the past year,” Ensign CEO, Barry Port said in the release. “This acquisition also provided another great opportunity to add to Standard Bearer’s growing portfolio.”

The property was acquired by a subsidiary of Standard Bearer Healthcare REIT, Inc., the release added.

The Hillside Village of De Soto nursing home offers 24-hour skilled licensed nursing services and specializes in wound, respite and hospice care in addition to resident council. The facility also offers fall risk/pain management, dementia care, low vision and cardiopulmonary therapy services.
