HNTB’s Feuerborn Will Lead KC Office

HNTB Corp. announced this morning that Wayne Feuerborn, an associate vice president, has been named Kansas City office leader for the firm, succeeding Mike Hess, who had been promoted to Central Division operations officer.

In a release making the announcement, HNTB said that Feuerborn would bring more than 30 years of experience in the industry to the role. He’s been with HNTB since 2000, serving as project manager, department manager, and leader of the Integrated Planning Solutions group for the Kansas City  practice.

“As we move forward in 2015, these changes position us for continued success,” said Tom O’Grady, Central Division president. “Wayne’s local experience and proven leadership developing realistic implementation plans for surface transportation programs positions us to help clients throughout the Midwest do more with less by developing creative funding, management and public outreach strategies to turn their projects into reality.”

The firm said Feuerborn has spent most of his career advising transit agencies on infrastructure and service improvements in roles as a program manager and project manager, particularly with transit agencies across the country on planning, funding, design, branding and implementing new transit infrastructure. Among those locally were the MAX BRT Main Street corridor, the first bus rapid transit line in the city.
